VW says its February U.S. deliveries were 25,145: +12.7% compared with last year. The comeback car: the Golf SportWagen/Alltrack +229.8% (2,094 units). By adding all-wheel-drive, VW appears to have offset lost caused by the loss of its popular FWD diesel version. The entire Golf family found 5,842 takers—a 60.3% increase. Passat sales rose 39.4% (6,114), Jetta sales slipped 14.5% (8,017). Tiguan, VW’s longtime compact SUV, posted yet another monthly record: 3,425 units, +5.5%. Audi reports its U.S. sales increased 17% (13,741) with its crossover vehicles leading the charge. Audi’s U.S. deliveries have posted monthly year-over-year gains for 74 straight months. Its most popular model: the Q5 CUV/SUV at 3,294 units, +36.1%. Its second-most popular vehicle: the Q7 at 2,477, +49.5%. In sedans, the A4 posted a 30.1% increase at 2,377. The A3 compact sales were down 21.7% at 1,515.
