Tues, Oct. 3: VWoA delivered 32,112 units during September 2017. That's a 33% increase over Sept. 2016 (24,112). VW's best seller: the Jetta at 12,038 units (8,299 last Sept.), VW moved 4,095 Atlas CUVs and 3,075 of its new 2018 Tiguans. Passat sales were down at 4,636 (6,335 last year). The Atlas is now VW's third-best selling model. SUVs comprised at least 26% of VW's total volume. Audi reported a 9.6% increase. It delivered 19,308 vehicles--its 81st straight monthly record. The best seller: the Q5 at 4,596 units. Most carmakers posted sales spikes for September due to post-storm replacement vehicle buying. Toyota's RAV4 is the top-selling non-pickup (47,142), while Ford's F series is the top-dog light vehicle (82,302).
