VW’s 2017 Tiguan Limited: MSRP $21,995The original Tiguan continues. It’s VW’s entry-level high-value CUV. Add $865 destination and then the front-drive Tiguan Limited is yours for about $23,000. It arrives in showrooms soon riding on 16-inch steel wheels. Inside, you’ll find cloth seating and a rearview camera display. VW’s 4Motion AWD is optional: $1,975. The compact Tiguan Limited’s power source is a 2.0-liter turbocharged, 200-hp four-cylinder engine. It’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. There are two optional packages one for wheels and the other adds premium features. I.D. VW’s Herbert Diess announced the decision at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California August 19. VW’s 2018 Atlas Earns Top Safety PickVW’s 2018 Atlas nabbed the Insurance Institute for Highway’s Safety Top Safety Pick rating. It earned good scores in crash tests. The optional autonomous emergency braking system earned a superior rating. Due to available headlamps that scored marginal to poor, the Atlas didn’t get the highest score: Pick +.
