A newly developed torque vectoring drive system increases the R’s cornering agility. Brakes, likewise, are upgraded. A six-speed manual is standard; a seven-speed DSG is optional.

Audi is recalling 94,00 Q7 vehicles in the US due to C-pillar padding problems. Certain 2018-2020 model-year vehicles might not have enough C-pillar stuffing in order to absorb crash impact and protect un-belted passengers. Audi discovered the flaw during routine testing. Audi will notify owners; dealers will install improved pillar-padding.
