This is a nice well running VW Bug . History, I bought it from a man in New York that did a lot of restoration listed below but had to move and loose it. When I got it the major work was done. Listed below, but with a lot of loose ends. I use a great but slow restorer in Michigan. I took it there and said here is a blank check fix it. I have sold an aircraft hanger and have 8 classic cars so need to sell at least three. Car starts right up, shifts and drives well. Defects that I see listed below. Major ones are the restorer could NOT find proper inside door arm rests so although interior is new no door armrests. The other he fixed the fuel gauge but I see it is intermittent. I will try and find probably loose connection. Other a paint defect on front hood, not mirror smooth
This is a list of some of the items I had a VW restorer do over 2021 -2022 I just gave him a blank check go ahead I will give the top 5 bidders his phone number to inquire about the car during the final 48 hours of bidding so you can verify and ask questions I just told him fix everything so it is a nice car. He did he takes his time. He was referred to me by folks who have had their VW’s redone really nice !

I have owned so many many Bugs. I rebuilt maybe 20 while stations in Iceland with the navy. Advice on buying any classic Make sure you can get parts easy and cheap, and make sure there are support groups to answer your questions Of all my cars besides the Model T this one gets the most grins and waves Feel free to come by and inspect I am 5 miles south of Interstate 80 about 90 miles east of Chicago. Also my guarantee if you win either YOU or a representative come by and inspect the car before it ships If you or they find anything I missed I will either allow you to cancel sale full refund or negotiate a reduced price to cover defect . I have sold well over 100 classic with no complaints even over seas I value my reputation
I recommend insuring it with hagerty classic car insurance This car is valued by them at $ 17,000 and have been appreciating I have 8 classics insured with them for $ 820 a year TOTAL for all 8 cars . If your car is stolen or totaled they pay you the agreed vale. In this case $ 17,000 If I give you my policy number folks in the past have just switched the car to their policy You can not use the car as a daily driver, mileage is limited to 2500 miles a year
