The station wagons from Volkswagen won’t return for the 2020 model year. VWoA announced it’s pulling the plug on production of the SportWagen this month. It will continue making the all-wheel-drive Alltrack until the end of this year.
VW claims sales of its taller Tiguan and Atlas prove most Americans prefer SUV-like vehicles. Expect an Atlas Cross Sport two-row crossover in a few months. A crossover slated to fill a niche below the Tiguan arrives in 2021. Plus, VW plans an ID. Crozz electric crossover.
